Douglas Jones

Doug Jones has over 29 years experience in the financial industry as an investment banker, structured finance professional and chief financial officer.
Prior to GCPS, Mr. Jones led a team to develop a new structured finance group for Munich Re, the largest global reinsurance company. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer at an energy services company providing construction, operations and maintenance, inspection, testing, repair and replacement and support services to pipeline operators and oil and natural gas producers. Mr. Jones was responsible for corporate level supervision of financial and cash management, accounting, coordination of financial audits, budget preparation and cost analysis, managing capital expenditure budgets and purchasing of equipment and fleet, overseeing risk management, managing strategic planning initiatives including merger and acquisition opportunities, managing banking relationships and financial reporting and analysis. During his tenure, he established sophisticated financial, operating and strategic initiatives that fueled the company's growth from $100MM in revenue to $750MM in two and a half years. Mr. Jones then led a recapitalization process resulting in a majority equity investment by JP Morgan’s private equity firm and led a debt syndication with its incumbent bank resulting in nine new banking participants. Prior to this, Mr. Jones was an investment banker providing financial and strategic advisory services for numerous middle market companies. Mr. Jones graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree and Rice University with a Masters of Business Adminstration.
